NiCr 30/20 (1.4860) has high resistivity and relatively low prices when compared with other nickel-chromium alloys, can be used at operating temperature up to 1000°C. Although it has relatively high iron content, NiCr 30/20 is resistant to oxidation and chemical corrosion.

Application

NiCr 30/20 (1.4860) is used as electric components in domestic appliances and other electric heating equipment. It has good ductility after long time usage, good mechanical property at high temperature and good weldability. The maximum working temperature in air is +600°C when used for resistance wires and +1050°C when used for heating wires.
